After eleven years at the helm of setec organisation, Laurent Guérin is handing over the role of Chief Executive to Dorothée Citerne, who until now has been Regional Director for the Centre-East region. This change in leadership has been carefully planned over the past several months and forms part of the company’s ongoing development.
Laurent Guérin is taking on a new role within the setec group as Director of Strategy and Institutional Relations. He will contribute to the group’s overarching strategic direction and the development of its institutional partnerships.
A forward-looking transition
Laurent Guérin has driven this transition with conviction: regularly renewing its leadership is the best way for an organisation to maintain its momentum and drive.
Eleven years in office
Under his leadership, the company has established itself as a recognised player within the setec group, capable of playing a part in key decision-making processes, showcasing its project management consultancy services, and contributing fully to major, complex projects, such as the current Seine-Nord Europe Canal.
Among setec organisation’s key achievements over the past decade are:
- contributing to large-scale projects across the company’s various sectors of activity, whether through preliminary studies or in a more operational role, working alongside its clients, either in project management or under contract;
- the development of consultancy, planning and management services at both the urban and regional levels;
- an expansion into international markets (the Middle East, Africa, Europe and Central Asia) and a consolidation of our presence in Réunion and Mayotte;
- the development of the capacity to support our clients in building their resilience to climate change.
He leaves behind a robust organisation, rooted in a culture of teamwork and committed, as a mission-driven company, to projects of significant social and environmental value.
From the Centre-East Regional Management Team to the Executive Management Team
Dorothée Citerne brings to the Executive Management a career path combining technical expertise, an international outlook and managerial experience.
She gained experience as a project manager on building projects in France and internationally, before moving into the role of project owner to take on a more holistic view of projects and their impacts.
Having joined setec organisation in 2021 as head of the Centre-East region (Lyon), she led a period of strong growth there: developing teams, breaking down silos between departments and strengthening collaborative working.
This close connection to the front line – with teams, clients and projects – provides a valuable foundation for the future.
This change in governance is accompanied by two internal promotions within the Centre-East Division: Marine Lericolais, previously Dorothée’s deputy, takes over as head of the regional division, and Franck Kokocinski has been appointed deputy.

No radical break, but a clear ambition: to consolidate what has been achieved, continue the transformations already underway and adapt the company to current challenges.
